Henderson Chambers is delighted to announce that Kathleen Donnelly is to be appointed King’s Counsel in 2023.

Kathleen has a broad commercial litigation practice with particular experience in Group Litigation. She was first junior in two of the most notable group cases in recent years: for VW in the Volkswagen NOx emissions litigation and for the Claimants in the Post Office group litigation. She is currently instructed in the high profile aviation dispute between Qatar Airways v Airbus and previously acted in the Sports Direct bonus claim litigation, and the OCENSA pipeline litigation.

Chambers and Partners 2023 describe Kathleen as “a phenomenal barrister; her ability to retain detail is truly impressive”, with “a stunning ability to understand complex issues”, “really bright, commercial, and great strategic acumen”. Legal 500 describes her as “tenacious and persuasive”, “excellent with clients”, having “excellent advocacy skills that result in clients winning their cases” and being “very bright, tenacious and good on her feet”.

Kathleen will formally take Silk when she makes her declaration before the Lord Chancellor at the official swearing in ceremony on 27th March 2023 at Westminster Hall.

The members and staff of chambers warmly congratulate Kathleen on her Silk appointment.
