Leading Competition Specialist John Ratliff Joins Henderson Chambers

Henderson Chambers is delighted to announce that Competition Law specialist, John Ratliff has joined Chambers with immediate effect.

Until December 2022, John was a partner with WilmerHale, a leading US law firm, in Brussels.  He has had a long association with Chambers, notably when he practised with Stanbrook and Hooper, a specialist competition and trade law firm in Brussels, several members of which were associated with Chambers.

John Ratliff has some 40 years of experience as an advocate and adviser.

He was called to the English Bar in 1980 and admitted as a full member of the Brussels Bar in 2017, having been an associate member for many years.

John will add to Henderson Chambers’ competition/EU law offering.  John has wide experience, including of merger control cases, alleged infringements and cartels.  He has worked with complainants seeking EU remedies and assisted companies and their counsel on defence issues. He has advised on a wide range of transactions and compliance issues, including JVs, cooperation, Art.  102 TFEU and sustainability issues.  He is also well placed to support Chambers’ growing UK competition law practice, notably in relation to damages actions.
