Charles Gibson QC is The Times’ Lawyer of the Week

Charles acted for mining and metals group BHP defending a claim for £5 billion compensation arising from the collapse of the Fundão dam in Brazil – reportedly the biggest group action in English legal history. The judge struck out the entire claim as an ‘abuse of process’.
