COVID 19 – Supply chain issues arising from Covid 19 and their ramifications

Alerter by Angus Withington

Supply chain issues can arise from political judgments to control the pandemic leading to a tightening of regulations for the protection of public health and the need to insulate important sectors from future disruption.

Disruption can be expected particularly in respect of transport between countries and delays at border controls or quarantine requirements.

Two aspects to be considered in this paper:

  1. Force Majeure clauses
  2. Business interruption clauses
