Sentencing Guidance for Environmental Offences
On 26 February the Sentencing Council published new sentencing guidelines for a wide range of environmental offences. The Definitive Guideline provides a new tariff-based method of sentencing which has not previously been used in sentencing for environmental offences. The guidelines can be found on the Sentencing Council website.
