William Moody joined Henderson Chambers as a pupil in September 2020. He is currently supervised by Tim Green.
Before joining Chambers, William obtained a First Class LLB from Durham University and an LLM from the University of Cambridge. Whilst at Cambridge, he represented the university in the Willem C. Vis Moot where he was awarded the Martin Domke Award in Vienna and Best Advocate in the Fox Williams & Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Pre-Moot.
For his BPTC, William was a Lord Denning and Government of Gibraltar scholar. Prior to pupillage, he worked on the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg and on the Indian Supreme Court in New Delhi, as well as the Representative Office of Gibraltar in Brussels. William speaks fluent Spanish.

Prior to pupillage, William worked as a stagiaire on the Court of Justice of the European Union and his LLM at the University of Cambridge contained a significant EU law component. William has also tutored extensively in EU law.
During pupillage he has worked on cases concerning jurisdiction and service with EU Member States post-Brexit, and on retained law in the EU (Withdrawal) Act 2018.
William is eager to take instructions on anything with an EU element, especially jurisdiction and service issues arising out of Brexit.
During pupillage, William has worked on a number of commercial law issues. He has also participated in the COMBAR “Pupils in Court” scheme allowing visits to the Commercial Court and TCC benches.
William has a special interest in restitution and unjust enrichment. He has assisted in contractual interpretation, entire agreement clauses and incorporation of terms during the course of his pupillage.
William accepts instructions in all commercial law matters.
William studied procurement law as part of his LLM. During pupillage, William was involved in a number of public procurement cases, assisting on matters relating to exclusion clauses, pre-action letters, framework agreements, sub-contracting and standstill periods.
William would welcome instructions in procurement law matters and is keeping up to date with current and future developments in this area of law
During pupillage, William worked alongside Jonathan Lewis on a number of consumer law issues.
William welcomes instructions on consumer law issues, especially those arising out of COVID-19.
William has a special interest in arbitration. He competed in the Willem C. Vis Moot for the University of Cambridge, winning the Best Advocate award at the Fox Williams/CIArb pre-moot and winning the Martin Domke award at the finals in Vienna.
William welcomes instructions on arbitration matters.
William welcomes instructions on all personal injury matters.
As a pupil with James Purnell, he worked on a number of personal injury matters for both claimant and defence, advising on liability and quantum.
Public International Law
William welcomes instructions in public international law matters. He wrote a first class dissertation in the area and has a special interest in issues of sovereignty, self-determination and international trade.
William also studied law of the WTO as part of his LLM and would welcome instructions on trade matters arising out of Brexit or otherwise. He is looking to develop a practice in this area.
William is available for instructions in PPI matters arising out of debtor-creditor relationships under the Consumer Credit Act and related legislation.
He has acted in a number of PPI hearings and welcomes instructions for both preliminary and final hearings.
Health & Safety
As a pupil for Tim Green, William has been exposed to work in health and safety law. William has assisted in drafting advices on disclosure in criminal prosecutions and in drafting sentencing and mitigation notes for defendants facing prosecution.
