Faiza is building a broad practice across all areas of Chambers’ practice.
She is regularly instructed in a variety of matters as sole counsel and is comfortable working with large legal and counsel teams. During pupillage, Faiza assisted members of Chambers by drafting pleadings, advices, and research notes in a wide range of matters, including commercial disputes, employment disputes, health and safety litigation, and consumer claims.
Faiza graduated with an LLB from Keele University and completed the Bar Course at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy as a Lord Denning and Residential Scholar of Lincoln’s Inn. She went on to read the BCL and MPhil in Law at Worcester College, University of Oxford.
Before commencing pupillage, Faiza was a Stipendiary Lecturer in Law at Lincoln College, Oxford, where she taught Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, and Criminal Law to undergraduate students.

- Appearing for claimants and defendants in matters concerning access injunctions, possession, landlord and tenant, mortgage repossession proceedings.
- Instructed to draft pleadings and appear in housing disrepair cases.

As a pupil, Faiza gained experience in various commercial matters, including:
- Advising in a potential claim for breach of contract and damages, relating to an agreement for the supply of a herbicide
- Advising in a private nuisance and trespass claim concerning a drainage into a water treatment system
- Advising a portfolio management company regarding a claim for underpayment of a consultant’s fees and non-payment of a bonus
- Construction of a boxer’s promotional agreement to determine whether the right to extend is triggered
- Assisting in drafting the skeleton argument for an appeal concerning vicarious liability.
Banking, Finance & Financial Services
Faiza has gained experience across a range of claims under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and the Consumer Credit Act 1974. During pupillage, Faiza worked on matters concerning:
- Breaches of the ‘general prohibition’ under FSMA 2000
- Unfair relationships under the CCA 1974
- Mis-selling of renewable energy products
- PPI and motor finance
- Costs in group PPI litigation
Faiza has also been instructed in a successful mediation in a breach of contract and misrepresentation claim under the CRA 2015 and the CCA 1974.
Public and Regulatory
Faiza accepts instructions across a range of public and regulatory matters. She has assisted the GLD in relation to the Manston Inquiry and in a procurement and wrongful rejection of goods claim.
Health & Safety and PI
Faiza has gained considerable experience in matters concerning Health & Safety and Personal Injury. Faiza’s relevant experience includes:
- Drafting the basis of plea in a HSE prosecution where the defendant company pleaded guilty to two charges under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (as a Pupil)
- Assisting in a workplace accident PI claim and drafting the schedule of loss
- Assisting in various asbestos-related claims (as a Pupil)
- Advising a rail company as to its obligations under health and safety and occupiers’ liability legislation
