Over the Christmas holidays Tim Green KC was instructed by rural parish councils, with very modest local services, to bring judicial review proceedings in respect of a recent Home Office decision to use a vacant hotel to accommodate up to 400 male asylum seekers from 2 January 2023. Faith groups working with other dispersed asylum seekers in the community confirmed the obvious unsuitability of this location. On Friday evening the Home Office re-considered its decision and changed its mind. Please see the BBC news item.
Tim has consistently be ranked in Tier 1 by the legal directories for his work in Health and Safety, Inquests and Inquiries and Financial Crime. Public law work is an important adjunct to Tim’s practice regulatory practice. Tim’s CV is available here.
