The Good Law Project and Runnymede Trust brought judicial review proceedings against the policies and processes behind public appointments to senior roles in NHS Test and Trace. They alleged that the appointments were discriminatory and biased. The Divisional Court questioned the standing of both organisations to bring the claims. It eventually found the Runnymede Trust could bring challenges based on breaches of the public sector equality duty, and challenges to two appointments were successful.
