Thomas Samuels to speak on “Consumer Buy to Let Mortgages & Bridging Loans”

Thomas Samuels will be speaking at MBL’s “Consumer Buy to Let Mortgages & Bridging Loans – Key Issues & Regulatory Frameworks Explained”  event on Wednesday 23rd March 2022 at 1pm.

This virtual classroom seminar will provide a summary of two complex consumer lending products: consumer buy-to-let (‘CBTL’) mortgages and bridging loans. These products have become increasingly prominent since the introduction of the Mortgage Credit Directive (‘MCD’) regime in March 2016. Both occupy an unusual position within the consumer finance landscape; they are specialised products, which straddle multiple statutory regimes. Delegates attending this session will be provided with an understanding of what these products are and how they are regulated.
