Henderson Chambers becomes a Supporter of the Charter for Black Talent in Finance and the Professions

As at January 2020, the percentage of Black and Minority Ethnic practising Barristers at the Bar was 13.6%, 3.2% from a Black background.  Henderson Chambers is committed to taking action to improve those statistics. As a first step we have become a Supporter of the Charter for Black Talent in Finance and the Professions.

The aim of the Charter is to promote equality of opportunity for black people by committing organisations to create and maintain an environment where black talent can be identified, developed and promoted for the benefit of individuals and the organisation.  You can read more about the initiative online at blacktalentcharter.com.

In addition, Chambers uses the RARE contextualisation recruitment tools to ensure that social mobility factors and outperformance are fairly and properly taken into account during our pupillage recruitment process.  You can read more about this process online at contextualrecruitment.co.uk.
