Advocate (the Bar Pro Bono Unit) have named Adam Heppinstall a #probonohero after he secured a pro bono costs order.
Adam was part of the Attorney-General’s working party which introduced the concept of a pro bono costs order (where the pro bono Barrister’s fees are ordered by the Court to be paid to a designated charity, by the other party to a claim). The orders are made under CPR 46.7.
Many members of Henderson Chambers undertake pro bono work as well as acting as reviewers of cases for Advocate.
