Google Appeal

The Court of Appeal (President, Chancellor and Davis LJ) is this week hearing the appeal in the case of Lloyd v Google, in which the Court will consider whether breaches of data protection rights are actionable per se, and whether a representative action can be brought in respect of a mass data protection breach.

The case is one of the cases selected by the Court of Appeal to be live streamed on the judiciary’s YouTube channel, direct link here
