In the spirit of Christmas, and in lieu of sending Christmas cards to our clients, Henderson Chambers is making a donation to The Malawi Schools Project. A charity that supports and furthers the education of children in Malawi, the project was founded and is managed by Averil Harrison, a former member of Henderson Chambers.
Following a recent trip Averil says “I have just returned from yet another trip to Malawi, and have come back with such a long list of things that need doing. The children really struggle to get to school and to succeed, and they need so much support. We’ve just been able to provide bikes for children who live over 2 hours’ walk away. Now I’m costing a feeding programme for hungry secondary school children. They walk miles to school starving, do a day at school with no food, and walk home again, sometimes to find food there, sometimes not. So there’s plenty of scope for more.”
